For this fix, I asked for clothes that would be comfy for date nights. I requested my same stylist Caitlyn, and someone from Stitch Fix took the time to reach out to let me know that she would be my stylist from now on. I’m super excited about that because she does a great job finding things that fit me perfectly! The title of this fix is “Comfy Date Night”, because I just don’t believe in the beauty=pain idea.
I’m excited about this post because I’m participating in an awesome $1200 Stitch Fix gift card giveaway this week with a bunch of amazing bloggers. Enter to win at the bottom of this post!

“Comfy Date Night” Fix
Liverpool Elizabeth Super Skinny Jean
I have to admit that I was a little bummed when I opened up the box and saw black jeans. I had actually just bought a pair a couple of weeks before and didn’t think to specify any color of jeans. However, I tried the Elizabeth Super Skinny Jean on and I was instantly in love. It’s mid-rise on me and petite so it falls to my ankle. The waistband is pretty stretchy, and I’ve been looking for jeans with that waist style for a long time. I was even more excited to find out that they make these in jean wash as well. The jean was ones went onto my Pinterest style board, and I’m hoping to get them in a future fix! Even though this would be my second paid of black jeans, I decided to keep them because they are a-mazingly comfortable and they look great! I paired the jeans with the sweater and booties they sent. Isn’t my stylist amazing at creating outfits? I don’t even want to think about how to wear things, and it helps that she sends me things that pair well!
I also wore my Pearl + Crystal Drops Long Necklace by Chloe + Isabel. I recently became obsessed with this brand when my skin was increasingly sensitive to the other fashion jewelry I was wearing. It’s nickel-free and hypoallergenic! I wear a lot of black, gray and white, and the white crystals in the necklace are stunning.
DJ & Juju Congo Stitch Detail Pullover
I totally peek on the Stitch Fix app when I know my box is coming soon. When I peeked this time around, the Congo Stitch Detail Pullover was what I was most excited to get. This top is a beautiful gray color and is so soft and flattering. It looked great with the Liverpool black jeans and booties. My only issue with the top is that you can see the tank underneath. I’m pretty modest, and little things like that bug me. For this reason, I decided to return this beautiful pullover.
I love the 3/4 length sleeve because it allows me to show off a bracelet. It drives me crazy when I wear a long sleeve top and the bracelet keeps getting caught in the sleeve. I’d much rather have a 3/4 sleeve and wear a coat over if it’s chilly out.
BC Footwear Set-Me-Free Lace-Up Peep Toe Bootie
When I first tried to put these on, I realized how little I know about lace-up shoes. They are so cute, but how on earth do you tie them? I discovered that there are many YouTube videos on this topic.
The Set-Me-Free Lace-Up Peep Toe Booties are surprisingly easy to wear considering the height. My stylist knows how short I am, and these booties were really a good choice. They go with everything she sent in my box, and a few items I already own. I decided that the lace-up wasn’t really my thing, so I decided to return them. Looking at this picture, I kind of wish I had kept them!
Renee C Jedie Striped Sleeve Pullover
The Jedie Striped Sleeve Pullover is the piece I struggled with the most from this fix. This sweater is so comfortable, and flattering. I took it out of my return bag at least three times. Honest mom confession: I don’t wear a lot of black tops anymore because it shows all of the gross things that my kids rub on me. I probably wouldn’t wear this for date night, so I ultimately decided to return it. It’s pretty warm here anyhow, so I prefer to layer with a cardigan to wearing a warm sweater.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how awesome solid canvas TOMS are? I seriously wear these everywhere. I have some print pairs as well, but the solid brown go with everything. Click here to grab a pair.
At the time of this post, you can save $20 off a $75 order using this link. I always look for coupons and sales before I order any TOMS.
Because this sweater is so casual, I paired it with a very simple, yet elegant necklace. This is the most affordable necklace I own, but I probably wear it the most. It just looks good with everything, and it’s super light and easy to wear with casual clothes. This is the Interlocking Double Teardrop Necklace by Chloe + Isabel.
Alison Essential T-Shirt Swing Dress
The Alison Essential T-shirt Swing Dress reminds me a lot of the Lularoe Carly dress, except that it isn’t quite so large or long. I was super excited about this dress because it’s the perfect length for someone petite like me! I styled this a few different ways because this is my date night outfit of choice from this fix. I put on this teal extra long cardigan and was excited to find that the colors of the swing dress and the cardigan matched my Northern Lights set from Chloe + Isabel – especially the statement necklace. I obviously decided to keep this awesome dress!
The Northern Lights set is definitely a splurge. It’s on the higher end of the Chloe + Isabel brand, but it’s backed by a lifetime guarantee, and it is stunning. I have the statement necklace, earrings, and cuff bracelet. I usually wear them separately depending on the occasion, but I thought they looked great all together with this outfit.
For a more casual look, I tried the Chloe + Isabel Minaret Three-Row Convertible Necklace. This is convertible necklace, so it can be worn as all 3 pieces, just 1 piece, or 2 pieces paired together. I prefer it with all three pieces.
