For this fix, I told my Stitch Fix stylist that I was really looking for clothes that were trendy, but easy enough to move around in when working with kids. I also didn’t want anything that needed to be ironed in the morning. I like to roll out of bed, throw on some clothes, and look fabulous. Anyone else? I’m calling this fix “Teacher Chic” casual.

“Teacher Chic” Casual Fix
Turk Fuzzy Pullover
I was so excited when I opened my box and saw something pink and fluffy inside. I’m obsessed with pullovers, and the Turk Fuzzy Pullover is soft enough to lounge around in, but cute enough to wear to work. I was so torn about this sweater. On one hand, I know I would get a ton of compliments on it. On the other hand, I didn’t think it would be as easy to take care of as the rest of my low maintenance wardrobe. Ultimately I decided to return it, but I think I might regret it in the long run.
I wore the sweater with my favorite black work pants from Maurices, which they no longer sell. They’re a cross between black dress pants and leggings, and I wish I had bought more pairs of these pants!
Brad Splitback Pullover
I have to admit that I probably had three or four split back sweaters on my Pinterest board. The split back adds a little extra style to a traditional sweater. The Brad Splitback Pullover was such a flattering color, and worked great over a white shirt. Since I like to layer, this was the perfect way for me to wear it! I decided that I most definitely needed to keep this sweater!
Check out the detail on the split back. It’s not split enough to make it drafty in cold weather, but it’s enough to add a really cute look. It’s also a lot easier to get on and off without messing up your hair… bonus!
SLATE Helios Necklace
Can we take a moment to admire this necklace I got in my last Rocksbox jewelry rental delivery? I pay $19/month and they send me 3 pieces at a time to wear. When I drop them off at the post office, they send me my next box. Each piece is hand selected for me.
LOREN HOPE Small Sara Cuff in Apricot
My Rocksbox stylist is seriously amazing. It’s like she knew I was going to get this beautiful sweater. Look at this beautiful cuff bracelet! I’m not sure if I can send this rental back.
Covington One Pocket Top
My stylist noted that she chose the Covington One Pocket Top for me because it’s lighter weight for the desert. It’s actually the perfect desert shirt, but not my style. I’m definitely more city than country. On anyone else, this shirt would have been super cute. It’s really soft and comfy, but you can tell in the picture that I’m not loving the look on me. I styled it with booties like my stylist suggested, which made a cute outfit. I decided to thank my stylist for paying attention to where I lived a little too well, and return this top.
Ryah Hooded Cardigan
Oh, cardigans. I have such an obsession with you that I have more than I have actual shirts. When I pulled the Ryah Hooded Cardigan out of the box, I was completely in love. It’s soft, neutral, and the perfect length. I have a lot of brown, white, and black shirts in my wardrobe, so I knew I’d love this.
I took this cardigan out of the return bag about ten times. I have so many cardigans, and a couple just like this. It’s so flattering and soft. Ultimately I decided to return it, but I cried a little when I did.
Olina Pebbled Crossbody
Stitch Fix is really good about not sending you accessories if you mark that you just want clothes on your style profile, which I do. However, in my fix note I specifically asked for a new, neutral purse. My current purse is falling apart, and I honestly just need a reason to dump out all of the cracker bits and used tissues from my kids out of my current purse. The Olina Pebbled Crossbody is super cute, and very high quality, but it’s just not big enough for all of the kid junk I shove in my current purse. I’m thinking of ordering a purse from Macy’s because I don’t want to use a slot in my next fix for one, but I see so many cute purses from SF!
And look how cute it looks with my Ryah Hooded Cardigan. Am I crazy to be sending these both back?!
What do you all think? Should I have kept the cardigan? Leave a comment below!
